Crafting confidence, one nail at a time

Welcome to Nix-Nails! My creative journey began out of a personal desire for affordable, beautiful nail art during the pandemic. I am an elementary teacher who was quarantined and teaching from home like so many others.  One thing that brought me joy during that time was learning how to do my nails at home which proved to be more cost effective, versatile, and became a hobby I truly enjoyed. What started as a creative outlet and a way to manage salon costs, blossomed into a deep dive into nail design, self-teaching, and a desire to share with others. Everyone deserves to feel confident and beautiful, and I'm excited to help you discover the perfect look for you.

Meet Jen

By day, I'm a dedicated teacher, wife and mom of two busy boys! By night, I enjoy transforming my desk into my whimsical home nail studio where my creativity comes alive. I've had no formal training, so all my designs are a result of self learning, research, trial and error, YouTube videos and playing around with designs and colors. The encouragement from friends and family gave me the nudge to share Nix-Nails with you. I had other teachers in mind when I decided to make the leap, knowing many who enjoy having fun nail designs to match classroom themes, holidays, etc.  This was a way to extend my joy to my colleagues and friends and has become a story of discovering that your never too old to take a risk and try something new that brings you happiness.

When you wear Nix-Nails, I want you to experience a boost of confidence and joy.  My mission is to create affordable nail sets that help empower women to feel beautiful and strong, inside and out. While fancy nails aren't a necessity for self-confidence, they can certainly bring joy. I'm proud to contribute to that feeling, fostering a spirit of 'women supporting women.'
